Staying Safe at Safeway

With about two weeks left in Winter semester, Layton got hired on at Safeway as a Courtesy Clerk. It was a little bit of a struggle managing his 40 hour work week with his schoolwork but luckily there was only a two week overlap. He has mostly been working the last shift of the day, starting late afternoon and working until closing at 12:00 a.m.  He prefers this shift because it is usually slower and not as many people he has talk too! They have him doing lots of different jobs including bagging, greeting (welcoming customers and sanitizing their carts), gathering up all the carts from outside, and some stocking and facing shelves. Scott and I had to drop a car off to him at work one night and were able to find catch him in action. I was lucky enough to snag a quick couple of pictures before he told us he didn't want to be seen talking to us instead of working!
