Next Stop: Grey's Anatomy

 Karsyn has always been influenced by TV. No matter what she seems to be binge watching at the moment - is what she believes she wants for her career. As a young girl she was obsessed with the show "Cake Boss" and wanted to be a baker and open up her own bakery. She even started her own blog called "Karsyn's Cakes".  Then she watched a ton of home improvement shows such a flipping homes and transforming homes and was pretty sure she wanted to be an interior decorator. Then more recently she became a huge fan of the show "Grey's Anatomy" which takes place in a hospital so, you guessed it...she now wants to be a nurse! Plus, we always tease her that she is just a mini Kennedy and that is what Kennedy did so it only makes sense. Karsyn made sure she had all her nursing pre-reqs done before her mission so she could apply to start BYU's Nursing School right after her mission. Nursing is one of, if not the hardest, programs to get into at BYU. There are people with 4.0 GPA's and experience that are not getting in to the program. 

Probably the only perk to Karsyn coming home a few months earlier from her mission was that she was able to fill out her nursing application from home - and let me tell you - it took a village! She had her parents, siblings, friends and even random boys on her dating app reviewing her essays and making suggestions. She was able to put in a lot of time and thought to her application and we were hopeful it would pay off.

She completed and submitted her nursing application on May 2nd and then had to play the waiting game. 

BYU released the acceptance letters while Karsyn was in Virginia with the Hughes. They had already taken Karsyn out for a celebratory dinner when she got the email and found out she was accepted!

Another fun fact is that her cousin, Hadley Seal, also applied and was accepted into the nursing program and so they will be in the same class as each other!
