Won't you be mine? Won't you be mine? Won't you be my Valentine?

It's always a struggle to find a gift for the guy who has everything (except the '64 convertible red Mustang he is still hoping for). But Valentine's Day is more about sharing something sentimental with each other. These are my favorite kinds of gifts to give because they come from the heart and I get to be creative. But, they usually take lots of time. And time is something I just don't ever seem to have enough of lately. But scrolling through Instagram one day (maybe this is why I don't seem to have enough time lately?) I saw an add for customized ties. I didn't think too much about it but the the next day Kennedy sent me the same link as a gift idea for Scott. I knew then this was what I would get him for Valentine's Day. And if I prayed real hard, it might actually arrive on time! The site will customize ties to states or country colors and let you add a personalized message on the back of the tie.

This is the one I picked out for Scott with the custom message on the back:

"Where I first knew I wanted you to be mine."
In case you didn't figure it out yet, this tie has the colors and Emblem Paraguay, where we first met.
The night before Valentine's Day I stayed up late after Scott fell asleep (well, that actually happens most nights) so I could leave him "Love Notes" in the shape of a heart on his bathroom vanity mirror. Each note stated a reason why I love him.

Scott surprised me with flowers and a card and nice night out to dinner and a movie.

Sometimes those Instagram Ads help a girl out, and sometimes they just get a girl in trouble!
I also happened across an ad for Cuddle + Kind hand-made crocheted dolls that are just too cute to pass up! AND...for each doll you buy you provide 10 meals to a person in need in Peru. I mean seriously, these dolls are so cute. I want them all. But I am too old for these. Good thing I have grandkids! So I purchased one for Holland and one for Turner for Valentine's Day. Their dolls come with names and birthdates and a favorite slogan.

Meet Stella and Hudson. Twin polar bears born January 12th. Now I can't wait for the next holiday to buy some more!

And of course, grandma Bethany came through with her Valentine cards to all the kids and their special $2 bills. She even managed to get one to Karsyn all the way in Germany!
Scott was also able to keep up with tradition and get his single daughter a rose for Valentine's Day. Karyn lucked out this year because they only roses available to order through the German Amazon site was a group of 3 roses. Mom also threw in rose soaps and Valentine decorations for their apartment.
