Happy 45 to Me!

I think I have finally hit the point where I really don't get excited at all anymore about having a birthday.  Maybe it has something to do with now being closer to 50 than I am to 40 years old.

We went out to dinner as a family to celebrate (best gift ever is not having to worry about what to cook for dinner for the night!).  Well, what family we had here.  Still not used to the idea that I only have 3 kids at home still.  At least we had our "temporary daughter", Hanna, there too to make it feel like there were more of us there.

I was feeling like seafood that night so we went to eat at McGrath's Fishhouse.  My dish was smothered in deliciousness and I loved it!

Then low and behold, I got the special birthday treatment with a larger-than-life fish hat, a birthday serenade, and a free hot fudge sundae.

Scott and I are giving each other a Broadway-filled trip to New York City for our birthdays and we leave next week! Karsyn got me a hat and gloves for our upcoming New York birthday trip, Layton picked out an exfoliating face wash for me (every middle-aged woman should be exfoliating at least twice a week!) and Will got me some new sport socks and work-out shirt.  I felt the love!
