Seattle Escape

Scott had a speaking engagement in Seattle and he wanted us to all join him.  The real reason is that Scott needed me to drive.  For some reason, he gets really sleeping on I-5 between Vancouver and Seattle and needs me to take over.  Cassidy was at Thunderbird dance camp and couldn't join us but the rest of us were ready to go!

We found a pizzeria near the hotel to eat at while Scott was at some fancy shmancy dinner with his speaking engagement.
Saturday we headed to Pike's Market.  The girls and I headed straight to our favorite little shop while they boys went to see if they could find our favorite little band that we discovered a few years back; Morrison Boomer.  Lucky for all involved - Morrison Boomer was playing right outside our favorite little shop!  Then no trip to Pike's market is complete until you visit the Gum Wall!  And once again, I was caught without any cool-colored gum!

Then dad took the boys for a few hours while the girls went shopping.  Seattle is full of fancy high-end stores but we seem to always end up snagging deals at Ross Dress for Less!
That night we met back up for the Mariners Game. Kennedy was a little disappointed to find out the the player Kennedy had been traded and her jersey was already out-dated but it will never be out-dated as long as she is wearing it!

And keeping with tradition, the game went into extra innings. We stayed for a couple of them but then had to get on the road back home.  We did our usual sprint to the car to hurry and get the radio on to hear the rest of the game while we drove home (I mean I drove home, because Scott got very sleepy after the sleepy powers of I-5 overtook him).  We couldn't get any radio stations to come in to hear the game.  After a few minutes I remembered that Brother Lindhorst had taken off the antennae of the suburban in a game of pranks with Cassidy.  So no news of the game for us until we got home.  But that's okay, it was nice and quiet in the car so Scott could sleep!
