Fat Camp

I love it when I get an email from Heid Parker that says "I need a break.  I am leaving to St. George Red Mountain Resort in May.  You can come or I will go by myself."  Well, what kind of friend lets her friend vacation by herself?  Not this friend!

We also found two other friends that were ready for a break - Shannon Connell and Rene Steelman.
We flew into Las Vegas then rented a car and drove to St. George.
Red Mountain Resort was exactly what we needed!  Our week consisted of trying out different (some a little too different) exercise classes, daily guided hikes, bike rides, kayaking, healthy eating and regular spa nights.

Nordic walking.

This is called Alligator rock for some reason.

Getting our swag on in a hip-hop aerobics class!

Enjoying the luxurious robes and spa after a nice massage

Most days we all separated and did which ever classes or activities appealed to us, then we meet up together each night to enjoy our healthy meal and visit.

I promise we only layed by the pool for about an hour one afternoon!  Most the time we were being a little bit more physical than this!

Our last half day there, Rene and I took out some bikes and headed up to Tuacahan Theater.  They had a fabulous Saturday Market complete with food and a car show!  Rene is a certified full-time professional shopper and it just killed her that we only had about 20 minutes before we had to be back and head for the airport.

My kids told everyone while I was gone that I went to "Fat Camp"!
Well, you can call me fat anytime if it means I get to go back again!
