What? Karsyn turned 13?
Karsyn turned 13, and besides the added mascara, you would never know! The poor girl STILL hasn't had her birthday party and all I got of her actual birthday was these two lousy pictures from my phone at her birthday dinner at Olive Garden. We did however have a great time at her dinner and brought home lots of yummy left-overs, that we never got to eat because we left town two days later. That was part of the problem of why we couldn't have her birthday party. Between Halloween, Will's baptism, company in town, our anniversary trip to Hawaii and our Thanksgiving trip to Utah, we couldn't find a free weekend to have her party. It isn't for a lack of trying. We scheduled it, sent out invitations and everything, 3 times, just to have to cancel it each time due to something else popping up in our schedule. But IT WILL HAPPEN! The big event is scheduled to happen in January and she is doing a murder mystery party.
But for now, here are 13 reasons why we love our Karsyn:
1. If they made a TV show about Karsyn, it would be called "Everyone Loves Karsyn" because...everyone does! Anybody that knows Karsyn says to me "I love Karsyn" when the find out she is my daughter.
2. Karsyn has finally learned to save her money. She is now officially our richest kid. But she isn't greedy with it. She wanted to buy everyone in the family and all her friends Christmas gifts this year just because she could!
3. Karsyn has proved she is just athletic. No matter what it is...gymnastics, golf or dance...she rocks!
4. This drives Cassidy crazy, but I think it is cute. But pay attention and you will notice that Karsyn laughs after she says anything - funny or not, she laughs at herself.
5. We learned these past few months that Karsyn is a slob (okay, this isn't one of the reasons we love her, just something about her. When Kennedy left for college, the girls got their own rooms. Now Karsyn can't blame her messy room on Cassidy anymore and believe me, it gets messy!
6. Karsyn has the best attitude about her braces. She still swears she loves them. I think she likes mom buying her Jamba every time she gets them tightened.
7. Karsyn is a smarty pants. She tested out of her 7th grade math class and got moved up to the 8th grade class this year and just got a perfect report card!
8. Karsyn LOVES to play games. She is always the one to initiate a family game which leads to some really good family times.
9. Karsyn is cruising through her Personal Progress. She is almost done with her very first quilt!
10. Karsyn is a friend to everyone. She never excludes anyone and people are just drawn to her. Her first few days back to public school she got a note from a girl asking Karsyn if she would like to be her friend!
11. Karsyn is organized and self-motivated. She takes care of herself, her responsibilities, and her schedule without reminders from us.
12. Karsyn loves to sing! She sings more than ever now because she has choir at school and thinks she is way more trained than she is!
13. I never have to ask Karsyn to practice the piano! Funny thing, I never have to set my alarm clock anymore either! She like to practice the piano, nice and loud, every morning just before her bus comes, which just happens to be 30 minutes before I have to wake up with the boys.

Also, she must be related to her grandpa because he laughs at himself too.
She is like her mom too...loves to practice the piano and everyone's friend!
Happy Birthday again to our newest teenager!
