BYU Parent's Weekend
There was no twisting of arms to convince Scott we should go to BYU in October for Parent's Weekend and visit Kennedy! It had been less than 2 months since we dropped her off and we would see her one week later when she flew home for Will's baptism, but we still couldn't pass up this chance to see Kennedy in her new element. BYU had activities scheduled for us from the minute we arrived until we said our good-byes.
We did campus and museum tours, a luau with Cosmo, a tailgate party with face-painting, prizes, food and the famous BYU acapella group "Vocal Point", and attended class with Kennedy.
The weather was beautiful while we were there. In fact, it was too hot! We went to the BYU football game with Kennedy's room mate, Alyssa, and her parents. The game was a blow out and we were burning up so we took off a little early. But not before we got some video footage of Scott trying to support his daughter by singing the fight song of his Alma Mater's rival!
Rah, Rah, Rah, Rah, Rah....Go Cougars!
Our last night in Provo we went on a night-time series of zip lines up Provo Canyon. That was fun! It was quite a different experience zip lining in the dark, not knowing when to duck from branches or exactly when to brake. Sunday came and it was time to say good-bye to Kennedy. We had just enough time to attend sacrament meeting with her and then were off to the airport. Saying good-bye is always easier when you know it is only for a week. So, instead of "Good-bye", how about a "see you soon"?
