Better Late than Never
To say March and April (and May and June) were just a blur of craziness is an understatement. It took us 2 months to even find a free day to have Cassidy's sweet 16 birthday party. Then we came to realize that free day was also the day one of her best friends, Taylor, was going to have her 16th birthday party! Easy solution....combine parties!
We went with a "driving" theme since they both will be getting their licenses very soon.
We made sure there was plenty of food since we knew we were going to have a house full of teenagers, including teenage boys. Those silly kids, everyone was so excited to have both boys and girls at the party, yet they segregated into a 'boys' table and a 'girls' table to eat.
The girls assured us that they were not too old for a pinata. I beg to differ. We didn't even make it through the second boy at the pinata before the entire thing broke off the hook. Then they had to use the stick as a golf club and the pinata as the ball and try to break the rest of it open. That process took a whopping 5 seconds with such big kids! We had candy all over the front yard way before the birthday girls even got a chance to try the pinata!
Car pinata turned into nothing but a car wreck!

Every guest got a painted key and lanyard to take home. They are uncut so the kids can use them for their own personal use. The birthday girls - Cassidy and Taylor...definitely "Sweet"!
