Love is in the Air

Cassidy was counting down the days, hours and minutes until Valentine's Day this year! That was the day she was set to get off her braces. She has had her braces since August 2008. She has also endured head gear, the "crank", springs, tongue guards, and thousands of rubber bands. Most of the work was to change her bite and jaw positioning, so the biggest change I can see is that she is 2 and half years older!

I am always looking for something cute but easy to do for the kids valentines each year. I refuse to send my kids to school with a box of store-bought valentines with a candy taped to it! It is my mother's fault. She did this with us even way before homemade valentines were vogue. I can't ever remember buying a box of valentines from the store. I found this idea on line and loved the simplicity of it plus it was water with sugar-free punch! My boys weren't too excited about passing out water bottles for Valentines. I promised them they would be a hit...and they were! After school, they both told me that their water bottles were everyone's favorite. I even had one boy call me at home and ask if he could have another one the next day!

The label reads: "OWL be pleased as PUNCH if you'll be my valentine"

Scott knows how to keep the women in his life happy! He brought us all home flowers just like he does every year. I get a mixed bouquet and each girl got a single long-stemmed rose.

I have to agree that her teeth don't look the different in the before and after pics. It must all be in the jaw! I like the water bottle/juice idea for Valentine's Day.
