Werewolves, Vampires and hippies, Oh my!
What to do when Halloween falls on a Sunday and you don't live in Utah where everyone unofficially changes it to Saturday? You crash another Stake's Trunk or Treat scheduled for Saturday! We invited our friends, the Minors, to join us at the trunk-or-treat and then back over for treats and hot chocolate. I just love trunk or treats, especially when done right. And done on a Stake level is doing it right! Within 20 minutes my kids bags were overflowing and my candy bowl was empty! Mission accomplished and the sooner we got to be indoors and warm!
Karsyn put my great find of platform shoes to use with her hippie costume. Something about her costume kept making her break out in dance while singing "Shake Your Groove Thing"!

We had a little friendly rivalry going on between the boys, um, I mean Jacob and Edward. The boys wanted to be the Werewolf and Vampire from the Twilight series. Layton was Team Jacob and Will was Team Edward. I tried to convince Karsyn to be their love-interest, Bella, but Bella is known for her clumsiness, not for her dance skills!
Here is Heidi showing off her skills of moving cotton balls with nothing but vaseline and her nose! For those of you that know Scott, you have learned better than to take it personally when he falls asleep right in the middle of your party. Unfortunately, Scott has not yet learned that he should not fall asleep in the middle of our party! You would think walking around Arizona for days with hot pink toe-nails would have taught him that! Well, this time his toe-nails looked fine, but the kids had a blast with his forehead! Anyone know what it means to have an "L" on your forehead?
We shot nerf guns at gift certificates. You keep what you hit! Cassidy was our big winner from this game.
Kennedy and Will trying their luck at the cottonball game. Watch out Kennedy! Will brought his game face!
Karsyn excelled at the spoon-candy relay. I think she had an unfair advantage of something like 8 years of balance training!
I think Will played every game offered. He tends to have a little competitive streak in him. Just a small one! But he ended the night with seeing who could wear the most spider rings...on every finger and toe he could fit them on. So even though we didn't know what we would do for Halloween, we ended up with two great days of Halloween fun!
