The family who works together...

We have been invaded by some nasty birch bores! Over the past year, the bores have killed off at least 5 of our Birch trees. This called for drastic measures. We had to have an arborist come cut down all the dead or dying trees. Scott thought this was the opportune time to also get rid of the two trees that have been bugging him since they day we bought this house. He hated two of our big pine trees because they blocked his view of the meadow behind our house. To save money, he told the arborists that we could haul all the cut trees to the curb to be shredded. So not only did we save money, we got a great workout and hours and hours of family bonding time! Like most jobs, this too ended up being much bigger than anyone imagined. It took a day and half to move all the tree cuttings to the front yard. Our front yard was completely covered with tree branches and tree trunks.

Kennedy wanted to show off her buff deltoids, then Cassidy of course wanted in on some of the muscle action.
Karsyn was still limping around with a sprained ankle so she got other chores such as watering plants.

This is Scott's favorite new view of the Meadow and our not so favorite view of our empty island.

That back is seriously impressive. I'm talking about Kennedy's back not the backyard.

Definitely looks good and the back yard isn't too shabby either!
