Derby part Duex

Yes, it is that time of year again...Pinewood Derby time! Layton had some high expectations after going undefeated last year. I tried to explain to him how most boys go all through cub scouts without ever winning 1st place, or even winning a single race for that matter. We talked about how it would be nice if someone else got a chance to win the derby this year. He agreed and even went as far as saying that next year he was going to try to make the slowest car ever so someone else would get a chance to win. Scott was determined to play by the book and let Layton design the car. Layton chose a wedge-shaped car for aerodymanics and a Jazz design for aesthetics! They even filed down their own wheels this year. Scott kept telling Layton they were doing it "old school" but Layton kept referring to it as "old-fashioned". Well, apparently Scott's "old-school" is still pretty current because Layton took 1st place AGAIN!!!

Well, how could a Utah Jazz car not be the best or fastest? Way to go again, Layton!
