Baskets, Bunnies and Snow?

We were off to Utah this year for Spring break. Always on the list of things to do is visit my cousin Michele. She is our personal hair-stylist in Utah. The price is right, the visit is fun and she always makes us beautiful! Kennedy made her biggest change yet with her hair - she went with the ever-in-style and sophisticated Bob. I think she looks gorgeous!

With a little free time on her hands, Karsyn took up her old hobby of making Friendship braclets. Before our vacation week was over, she had most of us outfitted with bracelets and hand-crocheted belts! Karsyn did have to give up a little of her free time this week to gymnastics practices however. We found out just before leaving that Erika wanted to take the Level 7 team to the Regionals Invitational meet just two days after we would get back. We didn't want her turning to mush and her hands ripping apart after a week of no training so we found her a gym to practice with for a few days.
The boy's highlight of course was attending two Jazz games. They went early with grandma and grandpa and Blake and scored autographs on their Jazz hats, got posters and bought Karl Malone and John Stockton plaques from the Fan Shop.

We colored Easter eggs with our Rushing cousins at Grandma CC's house before searching for them in the snow. I don't think I have ever seen the kids try to find where the Easter egg has been hidden on the snowman before! Then we colored eggs with the Stewart cousins - well, the little ones colored but the older kids had fun blowing eggs. We even made it back home with a few of them in tact!

Coloring eggs is such a "hairy" event!

We finally made it to a show at Desert Star. We saw the "Pirates of the Car-rib-eee-an"
This is a really fun musical theater that spoofs popular movies. It was a great show and now on our must-do list for the next trip to Utah! We even found a great backdrop for our group photo afterwards!

It was a special treat to have Conference weekend over Easter. Scott got us tickets to the Sunday afternoon session. Everyone except Will got to go. They only give tickets to those older than 8 years old. There is a special energy just being on temple square over Conference. After Conference we took Kennedy and Cassidy to the airport to fly back home for school. We met up with them the next night after a long drive home.

This post never went into my automatic feed on my blog. Thanks for helping my kids get ready for Easter with dying the eggs. They had so much fun with you guys. Griffin is having serious Will withdrawals. Whenever we drive into grandma's driveway he asks if he can play with his cousin, Will. And when he sees a picture of Will he gets excited, "that's my cousin, Will!"

We loved having you all here for Easter. Even the snow was fun...not every year you can have an Easter Egg hung in the snow!
