Reagan, Mummies, and Homer...oh my!

Karsyn was ready to let loose and have some fun after her meet in Malibu. Most of her team and their moms stayed a few extra days in California to relax. It wasn't the typical March weather we were hoping for, what we got was more like typical Northwest March weather. It was chilly and wet. But it would take a lot more than that to keep us from enjoying our free time there! We took the girls to Universal Studios and the Reagan Library.

Since when are gymnasts too tall?
"I'm ready for my close-up!"
Poor Steph had to do Universal from a wheelchair. She got injured after the first event at the meet. She kept that smile and great attitude all weekend though (except when we took her through the Haunted House)!
We saw all sorts of Characters roaming the place...

We got to go on all the rides but this was definitely one of our favorites!
Grandpa was so excited to meet Homer in person...Doh!

Karsyn and Kiara was both chosen from the audience to participate in the Sound Effects show.

The Reagan Presidential Library...a must see if you are near Simi Valley, California!

Love that man!

Welcome to the Oval Office!

They had an exact to-scale replica of the oval office as it was during Reagan's term. They had his original furniture and rug with his presidential seal.

One new thing I learned about Reagan was that he loved Jelly Beans! A jar of Jelly Beans where found on every table in his office and Air Force One. This portrait below is Reagan made out entirely of Jelly Beans!

What a busy and fun two days we had. We loved watching Karsyn at her meet and going to Universal Studio and the Reagan Library.
Now we are excited that all your family will be here next week!
Also, congratulations to Karsyn for taking first all around at the Washington state gymnastics meet. Probably a good thing grandma and grandpa weren't there to make her nervous. At least that is what we have been told that we do by her coach!
