Rock of Ages

A 'Leppard' never changes its spots.  That means, once a Def Leppard fan....always a Def Leppard fan!  Scott always found it funny that I used to be a head banger back in junior high.  He has found easy entertainment in watching me re-enact those years whenever we hear a good classic rock song.  When he heard that Def Leppard was coming to town, he couldn't pass up the opportunity to watch it all go down LIVE!  Scott was such a sport.  He isn't a big Def Fan but you would had never guessed it by looking at him.  He got home from work just in time for us to leave for the concert.  I was ready to go.  Hair was crimped and bangs where big.  Well, as big as I could get them.  I am embarrassed to say I couldn't remember how I used to get those bangs so high.  And to my defense, I will say, they don't make hairspray like the used to either.  Then out walks Scott.  Mullet wig, concert t-shirt and stretchy fire-pants!  This is why I love this man!  Life is always fun and unpredictable.  One of my sweet, reserved friends came to the house to drop Karsyn off from gymnastics while we were out front getting pictures.  She was hysterically laughing.  All she said was, "wow, your friday nights are way more exciting than ours."  The concert was at the outdoor amphitheater and it was a gorgeous night for rockin'.  Needless to say, I was relieved when it got dark and people stopped pointing their fingers at us and laughing.

Poison opened for Def Leppard.  They were okay, but I was getting anxious for the real deal.
Then it finally came...rockin', dancing, head-banging and singing!  It was an awesome night and best of all, I think I converted Scott before the night was done!
