Education week marathon
Every August we take the family out to Utah for Education week at BYU. I drove the kids out the week before so we could spend a little more time visiting with family. Then Scott flew out to meet us the following week. The time spent with family was wonderful and the classes at BYU were so uplifting and motivating. I hated to see both end.

Every year BYU puts on a musical during Education Week. This year it was "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat". It was a lot of fun seeing how they put a modern-day twist on the story. My mom and dad brought the kids up to Provo to meet us and most of the Aunts, Uncles, cousins and Scott's mom attended with us.

We had a full day of Game Competitions at my mother-in-law's house. She had several games set up for different age groups. For every game you won you earned 1 point. The person with the most points at the end of the day won the grand prize. Because my back with still hurting, and sitting was extremely painful, I layed on the couch all day and played Spider Solitaire. You know that made me happy! The only thing that would had been better was if I had won the grand prize. But no, that honor went to my very prego sister-in-law, Sommer. She won a huge bag of Sweedish fish (my favorite! Should had been mine!) and got to choose either a CD or DVD of her choice.
On Sunday, we did a progressive dinner with my side of the family. We had an appetizer salad at Chad's, then went to the Seal's house for the main course, then out to Scott's house for dessert. It was fun to see everyone's houses and all their home improvements.

The kids had fun trying out the new zip line Chad had just installed in his backyard.
My youngest brother, Blake, is still carrying on the swim lessons at my parents house that I started over 25 years ago! Karsyn, Layton and Will were lucky enough to take lessons the week we were out there. Both boys made a lot of progress and Karsyn got a chance to show off some sweet dives.
Thanks again to our families out there that housed us, fed us, nurtured our children, entertained us, waited on us and loved us! We love you and loved the time spent with you.
