Will Dance 4 Disney!

Kennedy and Cassidy both joined a Performing Dance Group through their dance studio when High School Dance team was over.  Besides a few recitals and performing at the Rose Festival, they were also invited to perform at Disneyland.  They left the minute they finished their last day of school and began the 18 hour drive to the happiest place on Earth.

Cassidy is modeling their "Smile" costume (from Annie) here.  I had to take the girls to Fredricks of Hollywood to be fitted for these corsettes!  They were dying the whole time they were in there and made me carry the bag through the rest of the mall.  Their dance instructor told them she was going to take them from the girls after their performances and she would give them back to them at their bridal showers (along with the free thong that was attached to the corsette)!
This is Kennedy getting her groove on.  This is her famous move she has nicknamed "the Gremlin".  She takes prides that she looks like a freak while showing off her freakish long arms!

Of course they had an amazing time at Disneyland.  They performed two times during their 3 day stay so they had a lot of free time to just hang and enjoy the parks.  The best part was flying home.  The rest of the girls had to get up at 3:00 a.m. to start their journey home so they could be home in time for Trek at church.  It was most important to me that the girls have a good trek experience so I flew them home that day so they wouldn't be so worn out the next morning for Trek. The best part for me is now having one entire month free of dance!  The girls are totally missing it already but I am enjoying the break before it all begins again in August.

Heather sends us at least one vacation deal to look at each month. In September 2020 she showed us a sale on airfare to Hawaii over Scott's birthday. We had such a fun time there in January 2020 that it didn't take us long to commit and we booked airfare to Maui. We soon realized we couldn't find any affordable lodging in Maui that also offered free cancellation. Generous cancellation policies are definitely a must in these crazy COVID times. Heather found a good deal on lodging in Kauai so we changed our airfare from Maui to Kauai. Yes! Everything was finalized! Well that was until it was declared that all visitors to Hawaii would be required to show a negative COVID test, from one of their approved testing sites, to get off the plane in Hawaii. Paris

So here is a look at our trip to Paris.  It might be more than most of you care to read!  I just copied and pasted emails we sent home while on our trip.  This is more for my benefit than anyone else's since this blog is the closest I have come to keeping a journal.  Hope you enjoy the journey- we sure did! View from our Seine River Cruise Day One We have the tiniest little room way up at the very top of a very narrow skinny hotel. It reminds us of the love dungeon (our first basement apartment) but it is up at the top so we called it our "love tower"! The bed is a double and you can only stand up straight in the room if you are standing on Scott's side of the bed! The tub is half size (I think they made it for Napoleon).  But I slept great. Memorable highlights and sayings from 2007

January Highlight: Staying at our friends cabin up by Mt. St. Helens. Just a quick drive up the mountain and we had plenty of snow for sledding and great views of St. Helens. January Quote: Scott and I were in the car with Cassidy. I was complaining about how tired I had been. It didn't see m to matter if I slept 4 hours or 8 hours, I always felt tired. Cassidy who had been relatively quiet up till this point pipes up and says, "maybe you are going through menopause." Scot t and I started laughing and then Cassi dy admitted she didn't even know what that meant, she had just heard it in "F ather the Bride II".
