Climbing the Ladder of Success!

Since life hasn't slowed down much yet, even with school being out, we decided to keep Father's Day sweet and simple.  The only thing Scott had asked for father's day was a new ladder.  While I was grateful for a gift suggestion I was worried that that gift itself was a tad bit boring!  So I tried to appeal to his sensitive side and add a personal touch to his new ladder.  We labeled the ladder "Climbing the ladder of your success" and I decorated the entire ladder with photos and memorabilia showing off his many successes in life.  He had photos of scouts, sports, graduations, and family, newspaper articles, certificates, report cards, ribbons, medals and a letter from each of the kids, me, his mom and my mom telling him why he is a success in our minds.  He seemed to enjoy the walk down memory lane and really loved reading everyone's letters (again and again).

Kennedy and Cassidy were performing with their dance company at Disneyland over Father's Day.  We missed not having them here with us and Scott looks pretty lonely in this photo with just three kids!

Wow! You make my card and clothes I gave to Gavin pathetic! What a thoughtful wife! I can see why he loved it and must have had a wonderful Father's Day!
