Spring Break
We surpised the kids with a trip to Arizona for Spring Break. Scott had a medical meeting in Scottsdale spring break weekend and we decided to tag a long. You couldn't had picked a better week to leave the NW and head South. We left cold, rainy weather for the warm, blue sunny skies of Arizona. We spent the first two nights at the Scottsdale Plaza Hotel. We did nothing but swim and relax!

The first night we took the kids out to a nice restaurant so the second night we were ready to let our hair down and have some fun! We took the kids to "Amazing Jakes" and it was truly amazing! The kids got an all you eat buffet of nothing but kid food, there was Lazer Tag, Go-Carts, Rock Walls, Bumper cars, Arcade Games, Miniature Golf and Carnival rides. We did it all and after that and a full day of swimming the kids were exhausted!
We went to Rustler's Roost for dinner our last night there. It was a really fun restaurant that over-looked the entire city. There was a huge bull with a ring through it's nose out front of the restaurant. Will went up to look at the bull and said, "I am NOT eating that thing!" Then you go down a slide to find your table.
Scott ordered Rattlesnake as an appetizer. Guess what? It tastes like chicken!
The kids menus where printed on these Bull Horns. They didn't want to wear them. What a waste! Oh well, just means more for us!
Then we were off to Bahama Bucks for the best shaved ice ever!

As you can see, Will missed the plate and table every time he squeezed the ketchup and mustard bottles. This is how he looked when we took him out for dessert. While we were still ordering our shaved ice, they put another girl's order on the counter for pick-up. Just as she is about to pick it up, Will reaches out, sticks his dirty finger in her ice, then licks his finger and says, "YUM"! I was embarrassed, the girl was in shock and her date was laughing!
We spent our last night at the Arizona Grand Hotel by Camelback Mountain. This hotel had it's own waterpark! It had 3 huge slides, a lazy river, and a wave pool.
Layton spent most his time under a towel playing his DS games.
Will spent most of his time in the water, out in the sun which is why he came home with very red cheeks.

The girls after riding all the big slides.
Our last photo from our trip! I asked Will why he looked so sad in this picture and didn't smile. He told me that was because he couldn't smile because his face was so red and crusty and hurt real bad. So I came home tan, feeling relaxed... and guilty!
