Another Tag--6 Random Things About Me
This is the second time I have been tagged to do this so here goes...

#1  I am really good, I mean like amazingly good at "wac-a-mole"!  If you want to win an over-priced stuffed animal at a theme park or enough tootsie rolls to fill your pockets at Chuck E. Cheese, I'm your girl!  I am currently undefeated and personally think it is impossible to beat me because not one single mole ever survives my wrath. Yeah, I'm just that good!

#2  I can't sleep with my feet covered.  When I was younger I always slept with my feet sticking out of the covers.  Now that I am old (hitting 40 in a few weeks) and the blood circulation isn't flowing like it used to, I can sleep with my feet in the covers but still can't do socks at night.

#3  I am a picker - no, I'm not picky, just a picker!  I used to love it when my babies got cradle cap, it gave me something to do in sacrament meeting.  Now that I don't have any babies anymore I pick at my kids ears during church.  My kids may not have combed their hair for church but by golly they have the cleanest ears!  My teenagers run and hide from me when they have pimples.  I also love peeling off dead skin after a sunburn.  Is this weird?

#4  I enjoy reading a good cookbook as much as a good novel, especially if there are pictures!

#5  I take a bath everyday.  I only take a shower if we are on vacation and there isn't a nice sunken tub.  This is my "me" time.  I read my scriptures, I plan out my day and contemplate life.

#6  I like to stay up late at night.  I spend all day taking care of the kids and the hubby and by the end of the day I just really want some alone time.  And since I am definitely not a morning person, I often stay up late at night (like right now!) just because it is the only time I can do whatever I choose to do and not just what my family needs me to do or what my watch is telling me it is time to do.  If it weren't for my late hours, there would be no blog!

Yes! I'm a picker (and a popper), too. Drives my husband crazy! I also love reading cookbooks. It's what I do when I stay at someone's house. I love to read all their cookbooks. Strangely enough, though, I use Allrecipes.com far more than any cookbook I ever read. It's all about the reviews. I also stay up way too late at night for the same reasons.

Heather sends us at least one vacation deal to look at each month. In September 2020 she showed us a sale on airfare to Hawaii over Scott's birthday. We had such a fun time there in January 2020 that it didn't take us long to commit and we booked airfare to Maui. We soon realized we couldn't find any affordable lodging in Maui that also offered free cancellation. Generous cancellation policies are definitely a must in these crazy COVID times. Heather found a good deal on lodging in Kauai so we changed our airfare from Maui to Kauai. Yes! Everything was finalized! Well that was until it was declared that all visitors to Hawaii would be required to show a negative COVID test, from one of their approved testing sites, to get off the plane in Hawaii. Paris

So here is a look at our trip to Paris.  It might be more than most of you care to read!  I just copied and pasted emails we sent home while on our trip.  This is more for my benefit than anyone else's since this blog is the closest I have come to keeping a journal.  Hope you enjoy the journey- we sure did! View from our Seine River Cruise Day One We have the tiniest little room way up at the very top of a very narrow skinny hotel. It reminds us of the love dungeon (our first basement apartment) but it is up at the top so we called it our "love tower"! The bed is a double and you can only stand up straight in the room if you are standing on Scott's side of the bed! The tub is half size (I think they made it for Napoleon).  But I slept great. The weather was amazing! After getting in it was too early to get our room so we left our bags at the hotel and walked around for about an hour while waiting to meet up with the Parkers again. Memorable highlights and sayings from 2007

January Highlight: Staying at our friends cabin up by Mt. St. Helens. Just a quick drive up the mountain and we had plenty of snow for sledding and great views of St. Helens. January Quote: Scott and I were in the car with Cassidy. I was complaining about how tired I had been. It didn't see m to matter if I slept 4 hours or 8 hours, I always felt tired. Cassidy who had been relatively quiet up till this point pipes up and says, "maybe you are going through menopause." Scot t and I started laughing and then Cassi dy admitted she didn't even know what that meant, she had just heard it in "F ather the Bride II".
