Our Disney "Magic"

We took the whole family on a Western Carribbean Disney cruise the week before Thanksgiving.  The name of our ship (and don't call it a boat) was the Disney Magic.  And our trip was definitely "magical"!  The kids were great, they all got along well and had a great time, but that was to be expected.  We also had a great time due to these special Disney touches...

meet Alex, our waiter, who not only catered to our picky children but cut their food and cleaned up after them.

and the kid's clubs that kept our kids entertained all hours of the day and as late as midnight!
And who can compete with Disney when it comes to entertainment?  We had amazing theatrical shows at night along with comedy, magic, music, juggling, and ventriliquists shows.  We also got to see High School Musical 3 and Bolt in the movie theater.

One of our favorite nights on the ship was Pirate's Night.  We dressed up like pirates and had a pirate dance party on the deck complete with Pirate Mickey zip lining across the ship and fireworks.

Disney characters were always roaming the ship.  We also had a special character breakfast where they came to us!  Nothing was more magical than watching Will's face whenever he saw Mickey!

Our first stop was Key West.  We went to an aquarium where we got touch a shark along with many other sea creatures.  Then we walked to the most southern part of the United States where highway 1 begins.  Then to humor Scott we continued to walk to go see Earnest Hemmingway's house.  To reward us for that walk to Hemmingway's house Scott treated us all to world famous Key Lime pie!

Our second stop was Grand Cayman.  We took an island tour which took us the the town called "H-e-double toothpicks" and then we toured the turtle farm.

Our third port was Cozumel, Mexico.  The highlight of this stop was swimming with the dolphins.  Scott, Kennedy, Cassidy, Karsyn, and Layton all got to actually swim with them and get pulled and pushed through the water with their dolphin.  Will and I went with a different dolphin where we got to pet and dance with the dolphin.  Cassidy and Karsyn also had their hair braided.

Our last and favorite port was Disney's private Island, Castaway Cay.  This was one of our favorite days because it was finally sunny!  We snorkeled, swam, played in the sand and ate (our most popular cruise activity!)

Karsyn had her 10th birthday while on the cruise.  Her friend Mary also had her birthday on the cruise so they shared a birthday cake.

The birthday girl!

Here are some other photos we had taken while on the cruise.

We were all sad to see it end but we have such great memories to remember all the fun we had and those few extra pounds to remember all the food we ate!

I love the pix. It sounds like a fantastic vacation. I'm sure it was hard to come home.

The dolphin encounter looks so fun! I've never done that before and have always wanted to. Well I guess this post answers my question of whether you had fun! Looks like an amazing time. I think its worth the extra money just to have someone else cut up my kids' food! :)

Now I really feel disappointed that grandpa and I weren't with you.
You and the kids will always remember such an incredible vacation.
