Happy Halloween!

We had to get an early start Trick-or-Treating because we were also going to go watch the High School's football game.  Kennedy was dancing at half-time and it was also the League Championship game.  Our team won, making them the Undefeated League Champions!
Will as a Fireman
Layton as Harry Potter
Karsyn as herself (half angel, half devil)
Cassidy as a Hippie

This was our Happy Haunting dinner, a last ditch effort to get some "real" food in the kid's tummies before they set off for Trick-or-Treating.  I could barely get them to try anything!  Scott told me it was because I did too good of a job making it look disgusting.  Apparantly there is much truth to the old concept that good food is all in the presentation!  We had witches fingers (bread sticks), worms crawling in dirt (noodles under whole wheat bread crumbs), Barbequed Bat Wings, (chicken wings) and Chunky Up-Chuck (fruit salad with food coloring).

Great costumes...but I am with the kids on eating the food. It did look rather disgusting. Great ideas though and very creative. How fun that Kennedy's high school won!

That last one looks especially disgusting. I don't think I could make myself eat that one, either.

This is so cool! That food looks so great Heidi! haha. Sounds like a fun day! I love that the Mom grossed out the kids for once. That's great!

Good food must be in the presentation, because I love fruit salad and I don't think I could have eaten up chuck fruit salad!
