I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!

Layton was baptized today.  It was a very special day for a very special boy.  Layton was so prepared for this day and really looking forward to it.  He had his interview with the Bishop right after church. The Bishop said it was one of the best baptismal interviews he had ever had.  He asked Layton several questions, including what he knew about the prophet Joseph Smith.  Layton said he left out the story about his leg operation but he pretty much told the Bishop everything else about Joseph's life.  At his baptism he mentioned again about Layton's strong knowledge and testimony of the gospel.
Layton feels pretty special about his baptism because he got to be baptized three times!  The first time his dad forgot to say some of the words in the baptismal prayer, the second time Layton's foot flew up in the air, but the third time was a charm!
Both Layton's grandma's and his grandpa flew in for his baptism.

Grandma Bethany gave Layton a journal for his Baptism.  Layton loves to write!  As soon as we got home from his baptism he was in writing in his journal.  He wrote all the details of the baptism and how good he felt when he was baptized and received the Holy Ghost.  When I went to check on him after sending him to bed, he was up writing in his journal again!

We are so proud of Layton and the decisions he is making.  He is such a special kid.  He has a very tender heart and is very sensitive to the things of the spirit.  He really tries to be the best person he can be.  But if that isn't enough, Will helps keep him in line.  Tonight Will said, "Layton, now that you are baptized you really need to try harder to be nice to me."
We love you so much Layton, what a wonderful day!

Congratulations Layton on your baptism. Grandpa and I are so happy we could be here with you.
You are an amazing young boy with a very grown up testimony and knowledge of the scriptures. You are an example to all of us. We love you!

I agree on the 'presidential' comment about Layton sitting at his desk in the oval office--or maybe the desk is in the church office! :) Congrats Layton! I bet the bishop got more than he bargained for when he asked "How do you feel about the prophet Joseph Smith?" 2 hours later, the interview was complete!
