The Twilight Zone


So I finally entered the Twilight Zone.  I will be there for the next 15 hours.  So don't bother to call, email or come by to check on me.  I went to walmart this morning and bought the fourth and final book from the "Twilight" series.  I was so proud of myself for waiting an entire week before buying it.  I knew if I bought it earlier I would not finish my current read (The Turn of the Screw), especially since I wasn't enjoying it in the first place.  But I am no quitter, so as soon as I finished that book I was in line to buy "Breaking Dawn".  That was the longest I have ever waited in a checkout lane at Wal-mart (it was the express lane to boot!) but I didn't even care - I was on page 14 before I even officially owned the book!  I have to finish the book within the next 15 hours so I will be done by the time Scott gets back in town.  He tends to get a little jealous of mine and Edwards relationship!  I don't know why though - he was edward when he took the "Twilight Character Quiz"!

I will be entering the "twilight zone" as soon as Alyssa finishes. That should only be a few more minutes.

YES! I can't wait to read what you think! I'm glad to know that Chris isn't the only one who will be glad when this madness is over. IT'S SO PERFECT! I wasn't sure how I felt about it until the end. I can't believe you restraint in waiting to buy it. I was so afraid someone would blow it for me that I was in a rush to get it.

Heather sends us at least one vacation deal to look at each month. In September 2020 she showed us a sale on airfare to Hawaii over Scott's birthday. We had such a fun time there in January 2020 that it didn't take us long to commit and we booked airfare to Maui. We soon realized we couldn't find any affordable lodging in Maui that also offered free cancellation. Generous cancellation policies are definitely a must in these crazy COVID times. Heather found a good deal on lodging in Kauai so we changed our airfare from Maui to Kauai. Yes! Everything was finalized! Paris

So here is a look at our trip to Paris.  It might be more than most of you care to read!  I just copied and pasted emails we sent home while on our trip.  This is more for my benefit than anyone else's since this blog is the closest I have come to keeping a journal.  Hope you enjoy the journey- we sure did! View from our Seine River Cruise Day One We have the tiniest little room way up at the very top of a very narrow skinny hotel. It reminds us of the love dungeon (our first basement apartment) but it is up at the top so we called it our "love tower"! The bed is a double and you can only stand up straight in the room if you are standing on Scott's side of the bed! The tub is half size (I think they made it for Napoleon).  But I slept great. January Highlight: Staying at our friends cabin up by Mt. St. Helens. Just a quick drive up the mountain and we had plenty of snow for sledding and great views of St. Helens. January Quote: Scott and I were in the car with Cassidy. I was complaining about how tired I had been. It didn't see m to matter if I slept 4 hours or 8 hours, I always felt tired. Cassidy who had been relatively quiet up till this point pipes up and says, "maybe you are going through menopause." Scot t and I started laughing and then Cassi dy admitted she didn't even know what that meant, she had just heard it in "F ather the Bride II".
