Spring Recital

Will had his last day of preschool today and then his Spring Recital/Graduation tonight.  He seemed pretty bored throughout the entire program unless he was doing his own thing.  Notice how his facial expression changes and he comes to life when he decides to add his own choreography to the song!  They had cookies and juice after the show.  He was one of the first ones in line, only he didn't move through the line.  He found a really great spot where he could reach almost any plate of cookies, stood there, ate a cookie, then took another cookie and ate it, then took another cookie and ate it........all while still standing in the middle of the line!  Why haven't I ever thought of that?  It makes so much more sense then having to get back in line for seconds or thirds (or fourths)!  I knew he was a smart cookie!

That's a kid after my own heart! It's hard to believe you guys are still in school. My kids have been out since May 23. Of course, we start in mid-August, so you'll get the last laugh there.

Oh Will, you made me laugh watching you sing. You should have won an award for the best expressions! You and Ryder are definitely related. He too entertained us with all his facial moves! Good idea also getting so many cookies!

I have been in a bad mood all day and this made me laugh and smile so much!!! Thank you for posting this of your sweet little guy. He cracks me up as much as Grant "super turd" Berg does! :)

Oh my gosh.. are he and Ryder twins? I have got to figure out how to download my video. Not only do they look alike, it is the facial expressions.. hillllarious.

Heather sends us at least one vacation deal to look at each month. In September 2020 she showed us a sale on airfare to Hawaii over Scott's birthday. We had such a fun time there in January 2020 that it didn't take us long to commit and we booked airfare to Maui. We soon realized we couldn't find any affordable lodging in Maui that also offered free cancellation. Generous cancellation policies are definitely a must in these crazy COVID times. Heather found a good deal on lodging in Kauai so we changed our airfare from Maui to Kauai. Yes! Everything was finalized! Well that was until it was declared that all visitors to Hawaii would be required to show a negative COVID test, from one of their approved testing sites, to get off the plane in Hawaii. Paris

So here is a look at our trip to Paris.  It might be more than most of you care to read!  I just copied and pasted emails we sent home while on our trip.  This is more for my benefit than anyone else's since this blog is the closest I have come to keeping a journal.  Hope you enjoy the journey- we sure did! View from our Seine River Cruise Day One We have the tiniest little room way up at the very top of a very narrow skinny hotel. It reminds us of the love dungeon (our first basement apartment) but it is up at the top so we called it our "love tower"! The bed is a double and you can only stand up straight in the room if you are standing on Scott's side of the bed! The tub is half size (I think they made it for Napoleon).  But I slept great. The weather was amazing! After getting in it was too early to get our room so we left our bags at the hotel and walked around for about an hour while waiting to meet up with the Parkers again. Memorable highlights and sayings from 2007

January Highlight: Staying at our friends cabin up by Mt. St. Helens. Just a quick drive up the mountain and we had plenty of snow for sledding and great views of St. Helens. January Quote: Scott and I were in the car with Cassidy. I was complaining about how tired I had been. It didn't see m to matter if I slept 4 hours or 8 hours, I always felt tired. Cassidy who had been relatively quiet up till this point pipes up and says, "maybe you are going through menopause." Scot t and I started laughing and then Cassi dy admitted she didn't even know what that meant, she had just heard it in "F ather the Bride II".
