The Party Bus!
That is the new name for my Suburban. Apparantly there has been quite a party going on inside my heat vent and we were never invited! We took the car into the dealer this afternoon to get it "de-carcassified". We were informed that, yes, I was right and there was something dead in there. And then they told us that not only was there ONE dead rat, but TWO dead rats, AND a nice little nest that someday had the hopes of producing many many baby rats! And if that weren't enough of a visual to keep me awake at nights, they went on to describe that the vent was full of maggots enjoying a thanksgiving feast. I really don't know if I can ever drive that car again! Is it possible to get communicable diseases from breathing in dead rat? Scott has assured me that I don't have to drive that car again until he has it like new. I think he is feeling guilty for ignoring my concerns for so many weeks. Guilt is better than denial, I like this approach much better. He is taking it from the Dealer to a Body Shop to see about fixing a broken light and dent in the front of the car. I hope you all know that happened when I was driving this car hours upon hours at a time, breathing in dead rat and my mind was slowly being poisoned without me knowing it. That little fender-bended makes perfect sense now! Then from the body shop he intends to take it to get detailed. Hopefully this will all help me be able to drive that car again. Now the question is....how did those rats get in there when my car is always parked in the garage???? Did they party originate in my own garage? What is Scott going to do about taking care of that issue so this doesn't all happen all over again, or worse yet, happen all over again with a heat vent inside my home!

i think a deep cleaning of the garage would show a sincere & caring husband making sure that the problem is taken care of for good!
Our Home Teacher said the gerbils of his kids were always getting out and hiding and dying in the furnace. It makes the winter season such an exciting time!
