After the boys got home from camping we took the whole family to cash in on one of their Christmas presents. Scott surprised the whole family at Christmas with Broadway tickets to High School Musical and, later in the year, to Phantom of the Opera. The boys were so tired from their campout they didn't even make it to the freeway before they were out cold in the car. It took Will until the last 15 minutes of the show to really wake up. He was mostly concerned about knowing (over and over again) if this was number 1 or number 2 High School Musical. But at the very end he came alive and I couldn't keep him from standing up and dancing. Layton loved it but had his head propped up in his hand in his usual 'pensive pose' most the show. The girls were singing along the whole show. They sang in the car, the whole show, through the streets of Portland to the parking lot and all the way home. Needless to say, that meant I was singing it in my head until about 3:00 this morning! Hope you enjoy the picture, I risked being thrown out of the theater, having my camera confiscated and detention with Ms. Darbus for taking a picture in the theatre with their precious "copyrited" logo!
