Harmony Talent Show

Karsyn and Layton both participated in their school talent show again this year.  They did the same acts as last year!  We believe this shows the kids are showing dedication and endurance in strengthening one talent - this isn't to say that they don't have lots of other talents!  Layton chose to display a charcoal drawing of a dragon and Karsyn did gymnastics with her friend Megan from her team.  They will do the show THREE times today-two at school and one performance tonight at the High School.  Layton had no idea that he was going to introduce his artwork so we hadn't practiced what to say.  He did that all on his own - best part of all... no stinky, sweaty armpits!

Ooh it's so fun to be able to see these things from your kids when you're so far away. Makes us feel like we're not so far! We need to be better about updating our blog.

That totally reminds me of my childhood talent shows. You probably remember all of my numerous talents I was able to choose from--lets see--um--there was that one--oh I can't quite remember it now. Oh wait--I took baton for awhile. That really made a big difference in my life and my ability to hold a broomstick. Totally impressive Layton and Karsyn. I seriously cannot believe that Layton was able to draw that dragon so well. AMAZING!!

Aiden just looked over my shoulder and said, "Wow, that girl on the computer is good." He was impressed with her walking on her hands. Layton's dragon is awesome, too. Abby keeps asking me, "Who are those kids?" I keep telling her, "They are kids of one of my friends from my mission." They can't really understand that there are people that I know that they don't. Oh, and the Old Spice story is priceless.
