Driving Karsyn to gym this morning it started SNOWING! Last night I drove through hail! Aren't we more than half way through April? I have one question and it is for Al Gore....Global warming??? I say BRING IT ON!!!
A friend from college called me on Saturday night. She lives up in a rural area of the Puget Sound (Sequim). She told me it was snowing, and I didn't believe her, at first. We're wearing shorts, flip flops and have the a/c going here in GA! It's perfect weather right now--very low humidity, too. If the pollen weren't so bad, it would be paradise. Oh well, that's what's Nasonex is for.
I love your music on the blog. I downloaded a few of the songs this week. I needed some new stuff on my MP3 player. I love "Way I Am"! I had never heard that song before.
Well as I write, I am looking outside as it snows! One day we are in the 60's and then we get snow again! At least we don't have to shovel this and it won't last long...but I am so ready for good weather that lasts!
Heather sends us at least one vacation deal to look at each month. In September 2020 she showed us a sale on airfare to Hawaii over Scott's birthday. We had such a fun time there in January 2020 that it didn't take us long to commit and we booked airfare to Maui. We soon realized we couldn't find any affordable lodging in Maui that also offered free cancellation. Generous cancellation policies are definitely a must in these crazy COVID times. Heather found a good deal on lodging in Kauai so we changed our airfare from Maui to Kauai. Yes! Everything was finalized! Well that was until it was declared that all visitors to Hawaii would be required to show a negative COVID test, from one of their approved testing sites, to get off the plane in Hawaii. That was discouraging so we then changed our plans and flights to spend the week in Cancun. Finally we knew where we would be spending Scott's birthday week! Or not. With just a little over a week before our vacation date, the ...
So here is a look at our trip to Paris. It might be more than most of you care to read! I just copied and pasted emails we sent home while on our trip. This is more for my benefit than anyone else's since this blog is the closest I have come to keeping a journal. Hope you enjoy the journey- we sure did! View from our Seine River Cruise Day One We have the tiniest little room way up at the very top of a very narrow skinny hotel. It reminds us of the love dungeon (our first basement apartment) but it is up at the top so we called it our "love tower"! The bed is a double and you can only stand up straight in the room if you are standing on Scott's side of the bed! The tub is half size (I think they made it for Napoleon). But I slept great. The weather was amazing! After getting in it was too early to get our room so we left our bags at the hotel and walked around for about an hour while waiting to meet up with the Parkers again. We were in the Plaza of San Mic...
January Highlight: Staying at our friends cabin up by Mt. St. Helens. Just a quick drive up the mountain and we had plenty of snow for sledding and great views of St. Helens. January Quote: Scott and I were in the car with Cassidy. I was complaining about how tired I had been. It didn't see m to matter if I slept 4 hours or 8 hours, I always felt tired. Cassidy who had been relatively quiet up till this point pipes up and says, "maybe you are going through menopause." Scot t and I started laughing and then Cassi dy admitted she didn't even know what that meant, she had just heard it in "F ather the Bride II". (by they way, we believe it is due to sleep apnea, not menopause!) February Highlight: Hosting two BYU Young Ambassadors in our home for a couple days while they performed in the Portland area. February Quote: A fter rushing to find Will's shoes before leaving to r un errands he tells me, "Befo re we go to heaven, we need to remember to put o...
