November 9, 2007 was our 16th wedding anniversary. A few months ago I was called to work with the Young Women (Mia Maids) in church. The Young Women have an annual retreat up at a cabin along with their leaders. This years retreat just happened to be over our anniversary. So being the loving, dedicated wife I am, I took my sweetheart with me! So we ended up spending the night with 24 teenage girls and 8 other leaders. Not exactly a quiet, romantic get-away but it was really fun. The other leaders were so great - they gave us the one master bedroom, a dozen white roses, chocolates and sparkling apple cider. We decided that was better than any 5 star hotel we could had gone to! It was really great sharing our special day with so many friends.
