Christmas Eve and Caroling
Christmas is officially over at the Rushing home! I just took the last box up to the storage room. I don't know if I feel more relief or melancholy. The boys are definitely feeling more melancholy. I overheard the boys talking when they discovered I had taken the tree down. Layton was in shock that the tree was gone. Will trying to console him explained to him that it was okay to be sad. He then went on to tell Layton that he knew that because mom had taught him a song about that. He said the song went like this...."I get mad when I take the tree down" ("I Cry the Day I Take the Tree Down" is a song that faintly resembles Will's version). So now that Christmas is over I guess I have no more excuses to not update our blog. Here is a quick review of what we did over the Christmas break.
